Lady Lena Superyacht

Sanlorenzo built Lady Lena and drew her interior as well, so the rich wood panelling, the cream soft furnishings and the fine art aboard come from the same yard as the hull, while Officina Italiana Design shaped her exterior. Large windows bring the light and the view deep into her rooms, and she carries a full spa with a hammam, a massage room and a sauna, which on a charter means a massage without leaving the yacht. She is a 171ft (52m) superyacht, delivered in June 2020.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers run at zero speed as well as under way, so the roll a hull picks up while lying stopped is damped before it becomes a nuisance. She cruises at 15 knots and tops out at 17, and her fuel use is 200 litres an hour.

On deck

Her sundeck holds a jacuzzi and a sofa set to face forward, so the view ahead is the view from the seats. A pool on the main deck gives swimming without going over the side, and the beach club opens her onto the water; a gym with exercise equipment keeps a training routine possible at sea.

Water toys

Sixteen toys come with her. Two jet skis put two riders out at a time, two Seabobs and a single e-foil are aboard alongside them, and two paddleboards and two kayaks cover the slower, paddle-powered end of the range. For towing there are water skis and wakeboards, two of each, plus a towable sofa and a donut, with inflatable toys and snorkelling gear as well. The tender is a 25ft Castoldi jet tender kept in a float-in dock, and it is what carries the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Limassol in Cyprus is Lady Lena's home port, and she works Cyprus, Turkey and Greece, three coastlines that give plenty of shoreline to anchor along. Her destinations reach further too, to Sicily, Sardinia, Croatia and Montenegro.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests: a master with a king bed, two cabins with queens and three that convert between twin and double, so the layout can be set to the party. Nine crew look after those twelve, with July and August the months she is most asked for, and nine to twelve puts almost a crew member to each guest.

Lady Lena suits two couples as well as a family of up to twelve, whether the hire runs a full week or a three-day stay, and with twelve her limit by day as well as overnight, the group that boards is the group her crew is there for.
